J’ai eu le privilège de voyager régulièrement ces vingt dernières années, dont quelques voyages avec André (Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Costa Rica, Pérou, Argentine, Chili, Islande, Chine, Hong Kong) et avec ma filleule Jessica (Nouvelle-Zélande). De magnifiques voyages dans de fabuleux endroits! La vie des insulaires, les volcans, les glaciers m’attirent particulièrement. Quoi de plus enivrant que d’être assise sur le bord d’un cratère?… À moins qu’il soit en éruption! 😬
Et le 11/11/11, je surmonte une grande peur. Je m’envole pour mon premier voyage en SOLO en Polynésie française, où je suis allée à la rencontre de ma tante Hélène (soeur de mon père), religieuse au Monastère des Clarisses, que je n’ai pas vue depuis près de 30 ans! Une rencontre magique! Puis je réalise un grand rêve – un séjour d’une semaine à la mythique et époustouflante Île-de-Pâques (Rapa Nui).
Dès lors, la passion des voyages en solo me transporte autour du monde ainsi que sur le continent américain depuis l’acquisition d’une petite roulotte de voyage.
Tant de lieux, de personnes, d’émotions, d’histoires, d’anecdotes et de photographies que je partage avec vous au moyen de ce blogue sans prétention autre que de vous amener à faire un bout de chemin avec moi à travers mes mots et mes photos!

I had the privilege of traveling regularly over the past twenty years, including some trips with André (Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Iceland, China, Hong Kong) and with my goddaughter Jessica (New Zealand). Wonderful journeys to fabulous places! Island life, volcanoes, glaciers particularly attract me. What’s more thrilling than sitting on the edge of a crater? … Unless it’s erupting! 😬
And on 11/11/11, I conquered a great fear. I embarked on my first SOLO trip to French Polynesia, where I went to visit my aunt Hélène (my father’s sister), a nun at the Monastery of the Clarisses, whom I hadn’t seen in nearly 30 years! A magical reunion! Then I realized a lifelong dream – a week-long stay on the legendary and breathtaking Easter Island (Rapa Nui).
Since then, the passion for solo travel has taken me around the world and throughout the Americas since I acquired a small travel trailer.
